I promised myself I'd take a break from the social media frenzy, but I love you guys too much and while I am spending some amazing quality time with my kids and husband, I can't help but check in and reiterate how thankful I am for all of the support.
Last night it hit me that with this 3rd pregnancy, I did not get to enjoy the milestones I had with my other 2 kids. Last night I was sad because there are no pics of my baby bump growing. In the beginning, what I thought was a baby was mostly humongous cysts. So now I am left with a misshapen belly and what a dear friend calls a "Frankenstein" scar.
So today I looked to Rumi, my favorite ancient poet, and one of my all-time favorite quotes took on a whole new meaning:
"The wound is the place where the Light enters you."
